1970 - 71? Master cylinder cover-replated

Sold and shipped 3.31…Thank you

Believe this to be an original 1970 - 71 master cylinder cover or lid.
Replated.
Not perfect, but still very nice for what it is.

I believe that is 70 only and worth every penny you are asking. Very hard to find in that good of condition.

There are several versions of the stampings. The "USE SAE J1703" like in this first one is specific to 70.

71's and likely '72's use the same cap....recently pulled a number of '71/2 original disc brake masters ("BE" stamping) and they all have the same cap as the one advertised here.

That is interesting, I have never found them on anything but 70. A Chevy site said the same thing one time when I looked it up. Been several years since I looked into it.

To tie all this together, my '70 442 master cylinder cap has the same J1703 markings as above. The gasket has two marks. The lettering FLUID SIDE on the front reservoir digit, and the Delco Moraine trademark on the rear reservoir digit. Do you guys think this gasket may be original like the cap? Both parts are still in service.

I actually don't know anything about the gaskets. That is one thing I never payed any attention to before.
