I have a 1111979 0A8 distributor as well,BUT it is stuck.It does not turn.I forgot that I had it until I was going through a box of parts last week.I have not tried to free it up,so I would like to do that first.I have one other one,but there is already a line for that one.

I have two known dates that the stick-shift 977 distributor was made,and four dates that the automatic 979 was made.
