For sale… 1969 Cutlass 442 SSl code LY disc brake wheels. $825.00 firm plus shipping from Ky.
4 Of the 5 wheels are matching date code.
Wheels were recently removed from one of my cars, so there are no issues such as bent or out of service wheels. I recently changed back to SS2 wheels and no longer need them.
The chrome on 4 of the 5 is still extremely nice. The 5th wheel has rust showing thru near the valve stem… see wheel #5.
Wheel #3 has a bit of curb rash on the very edge of about 1/2 the wheel. It still has spotty chrome in that area, but is not really noticeable. I can provide additional photos for those seriously interested.
4 center caps are driver quality at best, and come with retainers and mounting hardware.
The lug nut holes seem to be good I never had issues with.
Paint is at least 10 yrs old and can probably use a fresh coat.
The backside of these wheels have never been painted or treated, and show signs of being used and driven on.
These wheels were produced for a very short period during spring / summer of 69.
These are factory code LY disc brake wheels in great condition. You are receiving 5 wheels and 4 center caps with mounting hardware.
$825.00 firm plus UPS or post officce shipping .
PayPal friends / family or whatever method you prefer plus pp fees. Shipping and tracking info provided the day they ship.
If serious, send a message. Please keep negative comments to yourself.
Can provide additional pics via text if you provide a number

Someone should buy these, they're the only way to sneak factory discs on all chrome 14x6 OEM SSIs on a 66-69. I'd buy them, but I have two sets already. Good price, too.
I've noticed these wheels have a production date starting somewhere in late March 1969 and go into at least July 1969. And even though the SSI wheel changed for the 1970 model year, I'm speculating that more of these wheels were made in calendar year 1969 beyond July so there could be spares in case someone had to replace a wheel or wheels. But there surely aren't very many of them around!
The originals on my '69 are all dated 5-16 and the car was built in the third week of May 1969 so that's almost from the manufacturer directly to the car! The spare tire was missing and I found my spare on a Buick in a junkyard in Southern California back in 1989 for $11 ($10 for the wheel, $1 to remove the old tire right there at the yard) dated 5-29 and was happy to find it even then. There's not too many around. Thanks for your info - appreciate it greatly!
