398708 will work on the 65-67 full size cars, but it will not be optically correct. Note that this 68-71 manifold has the external ribs for the hot air stove for air cleaner heat. The 65-67 manifolds did not. Those early manifolds were casting number 384784.
That April 1983 parts book shows the problem with using newer parts books - the parts listed are only what was available in the parts network at the time of printing. The parts listed will work, but may not be the original items.
