1968-1972 Floor Shifter

Hi, I am not even certain of the application for this part. I found it inside of a project truck I bought. Google and ebay searches point towards 68-72 442. Cleaned it up and listed it. Shifter moves freely and cable isn't frozen (but unsure if it's correct cable). There is a small chip in chrome, but it may be covered by console. Please let me know if I am off in application or price. $250 obo

Not sure on exact app, but its not. 70- 72, although the chrome part and shifter ball is the same.

it looks like a 2 speed trans which makes it a 68-69, im not sure if 68 used that style shifter.

i sold a similar one for a 3 speed trans for about $50 a while ago.

Judging by the length of the pin on the shifter handle and position of the "notch" at the front for the cable to pass through, I would say '71-'72.

Thanks guys for the quick responses. I'll lower price soon if no one is interested and surely keep all this in mind if any offers are made. The price was based on one that was sold on Ebay recently for $350. It was the same except it had been repainted and rechromed.

I'm open to offers and quite negotiable. It was found in a loaner truck I bought just for the bed making it way too expensive. I'd love to recoup a little and move on to buying more parts!

"the same" and "except" are mutually exclusive.

Understood, I correct my kids for something similar. They'll say "exact same" then go into differing details. In this case, I meant the same shape including mounting bracket but refurbished condition.
