Motor is currently in a GMC truck but will be pulling it soon, mated to what this forum told me is a 1976 Pontiac turbo 400 (PC 76 xxxx on tag). The block number is 396026G so correct to a 68/69 442 or vista cruiser, has an edelbrock performance intake manifold, headers, MSD distributor, and Holly carb. Hurst floor shifter. Has the C heads.


Motor does run and is showing good oil pressure but is making an unidentified noise, have not changed the oil or tried to diagnose the problem, my dad and I bought the truck for the seats and are passing on the motor to the right home.

Hmmm, wild guess on location, maybe Portland but it's always better to post where the engine is located for shipping or pickup.
