1967 TH 3:90 complete rear axle

This rear end was supposedly pulled from a wrecked W-30 car and put into a '67 Chevelle in the 70's. A friend had been after the Chevelle for a few years and finally made a deal. It had been in dry storage for some time and is a very nice car. He is going with a Big Block, 4 speed and 9" Ford so this rear end ended up with me. I'm moving and this is something that should probably go back into an Olds and not one of my Buicks. Differential is tight, housing is extremely nice with no pitting. Brakes were done when he bought the car and the rear end had no issues when he was driving it before he tore it all apart. $1000 and I am located in Omaha, NE. I'd rather not try to ship it as I have never shipped a rear axle and do not know how it would be done. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks, Brian.

That's a 10 bolt 8.2 rear end. I think it's a cone type. They made 2 series, B and P. On the side there will be either one rib for B type or two ribs "converging." As for shipping, I sold a complete housing to a Fellow in Florida. He used U Ship it, easiest transaction ever. A guy showed up at the time said, I had the housing on my "long" reach picker. He backed his one ton van into my building, viola, loaded. The guy was charging the buyer $250. 2 days later the guy had the rear end. This is the outfit from "Shipping Wars". Good luck.

Yes, it's definitely an 8.2 cone style with 2 ribs, the TH code should tell most of the story. Housing is absolutely rust free. It comes with two nice brake drums but I do not believe they are original to the rear end. I think this should have had the bell shaped drums?? Thanks for the input. Brian
