1967 combustion climate control air cleaner

Up for sale is a 1967 4 barrel combustion climate control, the “Star Wars” air cleaner. K-50 option code. Has the number stamped on the side 6423786 ending in a 0 or 6 can’t read last number. Both diaphragms move but not sure if the vacuum part works. Minor surface rust but base and lid are solid. Has the metal “Oldsmobile Combustion Climate Control” lid insert that will clean up really well. Missing the chrome hold down for the lid. Also comes with the pipe and rubber hose connector with the original wire clamp…..most of these I have seen for sale do not have the pipe. From what I understand this is a one year only air cleaner. I have had this in storage for over 30 years. $300/offer plus shipping. PM or text 661-203-6953 for a faster response. Thanks. Update: the number on the side does end in 80.

also have 2 bbl version available, buyer can choose, but this is priced each not both.

Going by that number looks like the 2bbl is for 67 2BC bigblock with open PCV.

Maybe the parts book numbers will help ID the 4BC unit. Sorry I can't make this damn phone take a correctly oriented picture.

Thanks Rocketraider for the additional information. I will update my listing now. I can see now that it ends in 80. I know nothing about 67’s , I have had 68/69’s all my life. These are from my days of hunting in junkyards and thinking that’s a cool air cleaner and buying it.

The parts books are a necessity to ID these CCC aircleaners. As y'all can see there were different units for 2 and 4 barrel carbs, closed and open PCV, Toronado, full-size and Cutlass...

Maybe one of the mods can rotate the page from the parts book and put it in the Tech section. Bound to think it would be useful info.

The hard part to find is the part that wraps around the exhaust header pipe.

Someone ought to need one.

Let's put some spin on it. The CCC aircleaner is to Oldsmobile as the "Star Wars" is to Buick. In other words a pretty cool piece for a 60s Olds owner.

If Chevrolet or Pontiac had anything like this I've never seen one.

Turnpike cruiser

I have had this air cleaner om my work bench for twenty five years. It is definitely from a 1967 2 barrel turnpike cruiser. I owned one for many years. very cool but extremely heavy.

The important thing is do you have the other parts to go with the air cleaner?

That is a cool part. On par with the Buick piece I think from the same year. Good for GM!

Isn’t it funny that we call it the “Star Wars” air cleaner when it pre-dated the first movie by 10 years?

Just as an FYI, the two barrel version will fit on an Olds 350 engine with the GM HEI distributor without modifications. I assume the four barrel version may work as well.

Found the exhaust shroud

Found the hard to find piece….have three air cleaners total…one two barrel and 2 four barrel, a total of two nice pie tins . Price is each air cleaner….make an offer …at this point I will not separate the exhaust shroud from the air cleaner. That’s the hard to find part. Make me a reasonable offer.
