I believe the 3 stud bars have been re poped,the 5 stud have not. The 3 stud bars use a brace behind the screen where the 5 stud do not.

 

So how many different grills/bars did they make in 66?

There are 2 different grille bars,the 3 stud & the 5 stud. There were 3 different screens. The first design screen had the 3 stud grille bar with a reinforcing brace on the back side of the screen that fit over the bar studs. The first design did not have the reinforcing loop over the hood latch opening. The second design had a 3 stud bar and it had 2 vertical ribs in the screen & no reinforcing brace on the bar studs but had the reinforcing loop over the hood latch opening..This screen had the 5 holes for the 5 stud bars but used the 3 stud bars The third design had the 5 stud bars but had no vertical ribs and it had the reinforcing loop over the hood latch opening. The second design may have converted to the 5 stud bars @ some point but the only example I have has the 3 stud bars.
