1966 425ci complete engine

1966 425ci complete engine for sale. Bought it a couple years ago to build but don't see me getting to it anytime soon.

It is complete from intake to oilpan. I am told it came out of a running, wrecked, JetStar but not sure. It is dirty and grimy from use.

The engine turns over by hand easily. I have pulled the heads for inspection and it has the higher compression pistons. Cylinder walls look very nice on visual inspection. It has "B" heads.

I could use the money right now more than the engine.. I am not sure what it is worth so I will throw out a $500 asking price.. This is CERTAINLY negotiable..

That price may be a bit high (I'm really not sure) so make an offer.

Thanks. I am located about 20 minutes south of Birmingham, Al. and cannot ship.

Warren..

The 66 Jetstar had a 330 engine. Yours is a 425 and maybe a Starfire engine. Was the intake for a 4bbl carb and was the left exhaust manifold stamped with an S? If so it would be the Starfire engine with factory dual exhaust. Good luck with the sale.

Where are you located? This can be important when selling things that are big and heavy.

Good luck!

Just went to check and remembered I do not have the exhaust manifolds or at least I can't find them at the moment.

The engine number is 389244D and it is a two barrel but like I said does have the high compression pistons..

Make a reasonable offer and you can own it.

The 2bbl 425 came in low or high compression versions. This one would have the uncommon 45 degree lifter angle but still would be a nice core for a build. I am not in the market for it but hope you czn find a buyer!
