Just pulled this complete, undamaged, & rare reverberation unit from a '66 98. It was kind of a poor mans stereo unit.
It can be connected to ALL 1963-66 oem OLDS. AM & AM/FM MONO radios having the front-rear fader control option. It can't be used with the MPX STEREO radio(slightly redundant). I tested the radio & reverb. before removing & everything worked. I'd like to get $200.00 plus shipping for it. I believe 1966 was the last year for this option & they are very hard to find in this condition.

There's a little difference between 63-4 and 65-6 switch escutcheons but they all wire up the same. 2 bills for a working Delco unit is not bad.
My blue 64 Starfire has factory reverb. Green one has an aftermarket Archer unit. Greenie also has a loose wire to front speaker that's tough to get to because of the aftermarket ARA airconditioner (which also took out the tach).
I want to ditch the airconditioner and put the tach back, but the bolt that goes thru water pump to block and holds the compressor bracket to engine is seized and we all know where that could lead.
Too much to correct, no time to do it, and by time I have time, I won't have any energy to do it. Pfft.

I'm interested in it.
Provided it doesn't bother anyone for me to drop it into a 67 442, could I get some help from the people on how it hooks up and where to put it?
I have a couple 67 AM/FMs and a couple of the bi-phonic speaker adapter faders. I assume that the reverb unit goes in the trunk, and takes power and the rear speaker feed along with the switched wire from the dash through its harness, and then outputs rear speaker feed to the rear speaker.
Where does the unit bolt into the car, and where does the switch go? Will those attachment points exist in a 67?

On the '66 98, it was held in with 2, 1/4" head screws on the passenger side of the trunk right beside the wheel well, real close to the upright part of the back seat. I think the hook up is pretty much as you said it. I have all the wiring for everything so it should pretty much be plug & play. I'd guess the switch would go where it would go on a '66 Cutlass but I have no idea where that would be. Maybe contact Ron Roth?

I wouldn't have any issue with it! You'd probably need to mount the switch under bottom of the dash like the 65-66 B/C body cars did.
I'd have to look at a wiring chart to be sure which wire goes to what, but if your radios still have the factory plugs, it should be no problem to connect this unit. A 1965 or 66 CSM will have a diagram in the Accessories section.
As far as what a reverb can do: I can vouch that a Delco AM-FM playing "Gimme Shelter" thru one of these reverbs on a late night drive can raise the hairs on your neck. Merry Clayton's soaring vocals soar even higher and Keith Richards' jangly guitar licks literally assault your ears echoing thru the reverb amp. It turns an already powerful cut into something truly menacing.

FYI...For shipping, the reverbs have a wooden dowel inserted through the 5/16 hole (side to side) to hold the springs steady during long voyages over hill and dale. The reverb should be mounted front to back to avoid the springs from banging together over rough roads, as mounted in afore mentioned '66 98. The dowel is held in place with tape to prevent shifting. ^^^ X2 Really sounds great on a mono radio.
