17x8 & 17x9.5 wheels with tires

SOLD

MB Motoring Old School wheels with tires

Front:
17x8 with 4.5" backspacing (0 offset) 5x4.75 bolt pattern
Cooper 2XS 255/45/17 tires
9/32" tread left

Rear:
17x9.5 with 5" backspacing (-6 offset) 5x4.75 bolt pattern
Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial II 295/45/17 (27.2" diameter)
6/32" tread left (that's what they come with)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mtt-3745r/overview/

I would say this combo has about 500-1,000 miles tops on it. I did a big brake upgrade, along with my suspension mods, and they don't fit any more. Never been to the track and no burnouts. Just a few trips between my house and shops while various other projects were done. No damage to the wheels or tires..

$1,000
I am willing to ship at buyers expense. Would be shipped from my work, which is zip code 60803.

They are nice.I see you had disc brakes on the rear of your car with those wheels. I'm not sure what offset I need on my 71 Cutlass(all stock disc/drum). I like the looks of them I'm sort of interested. My other concern is the rear mt tires- I hit the link to Summit and see they are a soft compound high traction tire- I drive mine alot and it's not a hot rod. So I'm not sure they're for me. Are the front tires a soft compound also? They sure look good and I'm sure the combo cost much more than $1000. new... I am tempted.

Greg, at first I had stock disc/drum brakes on it, and they fit better with stock brakes. With the Corvette discs in the back I need a small spacer to clear the caliper. That caused me to roll the lip on the quarter panel so they didn't rub. They still fit, but it was tight. The pics in the driveway are with stock brakes, pics in the grass are with upgrade front and rear disc.

The front tires are a normal high performance summer tire by Cooper. I picked them because they had good reviews, and the tread is similar to the MT rears. Yes the rears are soft, but I've heard of people getting 15-20k miles on them, all depends how you drive it. If you only put a few thousand miles on your Cutlass per year, you could easily get 3-5 years out of the tires. Different story if you race it, but that's to be expected!

We have a family cottage in MI, I'd be willing to meet you around Paw Paw area for gas money.

I was lucky enough to make a deal with Nick. Not quite ready for the set to run on my '71, but I will post up when I get them on my Cutlass.

Good score Mr. Brown! Put some photos up when you slap em on your 71. I really like the rim and tire setup to the point that I'm going to get them in chrome, after I finish spending dough on my engine and bodywork.

Only two fit in my car at a time, so I have two at work ready to go. Will bring the others to work Thursday, and ship all four at once.
