Those look like trim rings for a 14x7....

Well, they came on the rims when I bought them from the car owner, and the rims are all stamped 14x6, so.............

Is it possible that the same trim rings were used on both sizes?

No, have you ever seen them on? Easiest way to tell is the valve stem opening. I have 14x6 and ordered trim rings that were apparently
​​​​​​ for a 70 (14x7)....that was an expensive lesson!
