Does this fit a four-series carrier or is it a thick ring gear for a three-series?

I called Richmond Gear and they said it will fit 2.93/3.23 carrier so 3 series

They aren't as popular so they are harder to find. Supercars Unltd. used to be the source but they currently show as unavailable.

Richmond discontinued the 4:10 ratio a few years ago.They continued to make & sell the 3:42 & 3:90 gears,until the company was bought out.Now there is currently zero gears being made.
The gears that they were making,were made to fit the 3:08/3:23 carrrier,or the new/aftermarket carriers,but the will work with the #588/#672 carriers if you mill .100" off the backside of the ring gear.Been there,done that.
