70 442 Convertible Dash and Steering Column Paint

I am restoring a 70 442 convertible and need to find out the correct paint "finish/type" to be used on the Metal parts of the Dash and Steering Column. I know that the color of these parts should be black, but I want to make sure the finish and look is right. (My painter, who does a lot of GTO's, says to go with "Satin" black.) Is he correct? or What is the correct shade/finish?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Harold
P.S........... The car has white interior (door panels, seats).

For a short answer I recall many liking SEM Landau black.
