Painting 66 442 trunk trim

I just had my trunk trim re-chromed and it needs to be painted black. My question is how do I get the paint to stick to the chrome. The areas that are black has a rough texture in the casting but it’s still new chrome. Is scuffing with scotch brite enough ??
Also, what type of paint are you guys using?
Any suggestions are appreciated

Just mask it off. Don't scuff anything. It will be just fine.

I used Ceramic High Temp Engine rattle can paint on mine. Masked it off, cleaned with acetone, and sprayed. Been on there for 10 years now.
