1970 ram air hood stripes

Which is better, paint or decal? Leaning towards painted.. Which company offers the best quality? Don't need complete kit. Just looking for the hood. Thanks for your help.

I had the stripes painted on the hood of my '72 Supreme. IMHO, they look better and are more durable than decals. Besides, I dunno if decals would play well with the clear coat. 🤔

Very nice. That's what I was thinking. Do you recall what company you got the stencil from? Thats if even one was used.

That I dunno...I bought the hood and the stripes were already there. The color was just a bit off, so I had it repainted and re-striped.

The factory used paint (except on the Rallye 350, 1970 Indy Pace Cars, and 1972 H/O)

This leads me to ask the question: Did the factory use stencil, tape, or free hand to get the stripes painted on the W-car, or all of the aforementioned methods?

You can free hand the stripes pretty easy. Usually what I do.
