Color Recemendation for Headlight Housing

I like to spray from a can the plastic headlight housing assembly and taillights on my '70 W-31. What color is the best match and any preferred paint brands? Thanks, J.O.

Krylon Dull Aluminum 1403 is a good match for the tail light silver.

The headlight surrounds are body color.

Headlight surrounds are body color on 71-72 but in 70 they were silver. X2 on the krylon dull aluminum.

Thanks, I didn't remember that - it's been nearly 20 years now that I let go of my 70.

Krylon 1403

About to use the Krylon 1403 paint on the same part. The can says it is for interior use only. Can anyone with prior experience with this paint share how well it has held up to the elements?

Is a top coat of clear spray recommended?

I have used it to paint grills and headlight surrounds on a daily driver that was parked outside in the weather. It still looked great three years later when I sold the car.

I used it to paint the tail lights and the grilles on my 71 back in 1998, and the paint has held up well even in the intense Phoenix sun.

So I would say don't worry about it. Clean and prep the surfaces, then spray.
