I need paint codes for a 1985 442. The label on the trunk lid is faded so bad I can't read any of it. I've tried to contact the local dealer that used to carry the Oldsmobile line but they only come up with a code for the silver on the bottom, and it looks like it might be a little dark. I need to somehow find the code for the white and silver.

 

The white paint code for 85 Cutlass/442 is 11... Code 12 is silver metallic and there is a code 15 medium gray metallic... I don't recall if the 442's actually used a silver or medium gray color for the lower sides... The paint codes, I believe were also listed on the build sheet of the original vehicle...

 

Well, the guy at the paint shop I stopped at mentioned the 11 code for the white and the former Oldsmobile dealership said the only code they saw for that car was the 15 you mentioned, so I'd say 11 and 15 are looking pretty promising at this point. Thank you.

 

Hi Joe, I was told that paint code 29 is Monarch Blue and usually found on a Toronado. Are we saying it was not available on a 71 Cutlass Convertible? Thanks,Harry
