Summit H/S clearcoat

Curious to see if anyone has used the Summit Racing high-solids urethane clearcoat and if so what are your thoughts?

Thanks, Mike

I own a paint shop and have been spraying for 26 years. Though I have a purchasing agreement with Axalta, I use a lot of Summit stuff for odds and ends. It's all rebranded products from major manufacturers. I use a good bit of their hot rod black, satin clearcoat, epoxy primer and have used some of this clear you're asking about. It's all good stuff. I would not and do not hesitate to use it on my personal projects or customer cars.

Perfect, thank you. This is what I needed to hear from someone other than a random review online. Much appreciated!

I buy a lot of other stuff from summit as well , like paint guns, small equipment and parts. They beat my local jobber price on most things and their shipping is super fast.

Ended up spraying a few panels this past week. As suspected and you described the Summit clear was great. Had a great flow and laid down like glass. 2 coats and I could get away without a cut/buff if I wanted to. Appreciate your response. Thankfully I live close to a Summit retail store so I can drive out to pick it up whenever needed.
