paint question

I have attatched a photo of my car. it is a 72 w30. as you can see in the picture it is blue with black hood stripes and stripes down the side. Most pictures i have ever seen of 442s with this striping, it is white. I believe the car has had at least 1 repaint and i am curious if the black striping was a factory option or if the previous owner just liked black better? I dont have the original build sheet for the vehicle so im not certain that was the original color anyway but i do like it. If anyone has any information on just what you could get from the factory I would appreciate it.
Mike

Factory Option

I am pretty sure it was available in both Black and White as a factory Option....

Awesome! I like the black a little better but I also want the car to look as it should. I think the Viking Blue and Black striping is sharp. but then again so is the white stripes. maybe its got nothing to do with the paint, maybe its the car!!!

well here is a w machine brochure for 70, clearly the black is available, and as I said I am 99.9% sure they didn't change it through 71 and 72,
