Finding the right blue

I've been searching all over the place and found a few blues that came close to what I want to paint my 1970 Cutlass. I'm not interested in factory colors. I'd like a deep, dark blue with a little flake in there. Walking around car shows it seems even though I hate to admit it but Ford blues might be what I'd like to paint.

2006 Solstice "Deep". That's what is on mine. A very deep blue with a little flake.

70 Chevy Fathom Blue is the same as '70 Olds Twilight Blue - my favorite. The solstice blue is also a great blue

BigJerr...Looks like my car needs to hang around yours....She matches mine with the black and white lol

If I was to look at a blue that was not factory I would look at the Cadillac Escalade blue off of the EXT truck that is actually BMW M3 blue

Dodge Viper blue is becoming a modern classic, chosen by alot of top end guys, the way hugger orange, canary yellow, british racing green, Porsche guards red, and others that have become benchmarks....

Mine is code 35 Dark Blue Metallic. It was only offered one year (76) for some reason.

No comment on what F-ing Motor Company is the producers of my car's colour.

The Black and Silver are GM, Olds even, they are even correct for '68.

Toyota and Chrysler both have a dark metallic blue with pearl used in the mid-2000s. Find a car you like on the street then go to an auto paint store and search the chips for that color.
