1969 Cutlass S convertible.

What color should the metal dashboard be between the padded dash and windshield - Black or matching the padded dash?

Also, should this be flat or have slight satin sheen?

I am getting the windshield replaced and want to repaint while the glass is out. The existing dash is too crapped out to tell what color it was originally after several prior repaints.

 

The portion of the dash between the pad and the windshield is flat for anti-glare. The color depends on the interior trim code, as listed on the back of the paint chip charts and in the Product Information Manual (aka Assembly Manual).
