Core Support

As i continue my build and trying to stay ahead of any bottle necks i am looking towards the core support. What i need todo is get it cleaned up and repainted. In looking it over i am really wondering if i shouldn't have it Sand or Media Blasted to remove any service rust. It is in good shape meaning no rot or anything. Thoughts to what guys have done.

In the past I've used degreaser and a good pressure wash , then I used a small sand blaster on the rust , then sanding and scotch pad and voila ready for paint. but media blasting is nice.
