Anyone have a blue 68?

I have a 1968 Cutlass Convertible that is currently red. I've always liked the blue color combos and it just happens that my car was originally blue. Does anyone have pics of a 68 that is blue so I can get an idea of what it looks like on a Cutlass? My car needs to be re-painted and I just want to get ideas.

There were 3 or 4 different blues available in '68. Can you post your color codes off of your body plate? BTW, in my opinion you cannot go wrong changing your car back to blue. Waaaaay too many red convertibles out there.

Thanks for the info! Already have a black(ish) interior and black top that works great. Sounds like a great color combo, anyone have a Cutlass with that specific color?

Not the best pic, but I believe this is the color.

Damn, that looks slick, I would love to see more close ups of that. Makes me want to somehow find the money and get it painted now! (also wish mine was a 442 lol)

Be proud of your Cutlass S, it is every bit as cool. In my opinion one of the reasons the 442 looks sharp is the black grill. I painted my S grill black and I think it looks better than it did with the silver grill. Other than that the 442 and the S look very similar, they even have the same hood. The vertical strip was not put on every 442.

Your car will look sweet in Nocturne Blue.

Funny you mentioned the grill. The previous owner (original owner) I bought it from actually made that swap already haha.

I picked up a parts car that was Nocturn blue with a black vinyl top and a light blue interior. I think I may have a few pics of it at home. It's a real nice color, very similar to the Danube Blue on my 66 Chevelle.

And yes. It is a cutlass "S" and I have no issues with that.
Especially since it will smoke most 442's

Beautiful car, but no Nassau Blue in '68. There was:

D - Sapphire Blue
E - Nocturne Blue
K - Ocean Turquoise
L - Teal Blue
and if you want to push what blue really is: F - Teal Frost

Toronado had B - Twilight Teal

What year is your 455?

I definitely agree with "cannot go wrong with blue", all of my Olds' are some variant of blue. However as of yesterday there is one less red '68 convertible out there, just ask Aron Nance!

Not the way I prefer to see them go however.

Hmmm. A quick trip to the garage reveals code L1.
Must be teal blue. Should I assume the "1" is white, or am I going to learn something here too?
