acrylic urathane

looking for thoughts on the posibility of putting a clear coat on after three coats of urathane, i tryed using b/c c/c in my garage one time ,maybee ten years ago,and some of it came out great ,but some seemed like it was drying before it even hit the surface,it also was a very long process, seems like it took all day waiting for coats to dry,so i have been leary about using it ever since , over the years i have painted 25 cars with acrylic enamel, with no problems, and every thing costs so much now, you hate to make a mistake ,any sugestions on this would be very helpfull, thanks will,

I think if you have acrylic urethane on the car now, solid color only...no metallic, then I would say sand it with 500 or 600 and hit it with the clear acrylic urethane...
I have PPG on mine and the spec sheets allow for clear down the road...keep the product line the same...
