68-69 455 engine red color name or code

I've been looking diligently for specific information on the red engine color on 68-69 455s. I'd like to buy a small amount to use with a brush but don't have a color code other than Fusicks EP110S and another code I found MPP104. Its easy enough to guess Fusicks code is most likely a catalog code (E)ngine (P)aint 110S. I don't know about the other code MPP104 as the posting citing that number was on a site that has since gone off the Internet. I will contact Fusicks hoping they can give me a lead but fully expect they will only wish to sell me their rattle can product.

If anyone has a source and color code for this paint in brushable form rather than a rattle can I'd appreciate knowing. Even a correct paint code in one of the contemporary paint company numbers would be a help.

Thank You,
Jerry

Try www.supercarsunlimited.com in the Portland, OR, area. Greg Rollin has the correct red color in spray cans for the 68-69 455 engines and you could take a little day trip and pick it up directly from him at his shop, or at least talk with him on the phone and see if he will give you the code he uses. He's all Oldsmobile, too - he might have some other mechanical things you need or want!

Randy C. Thank you for mentioning Super Cars Unltd. I'd forgotten they were such a resource and only about an hour away. I will call Greg and ask him about the engine paint.
I see we're practically neighbors. May you have a wonderful Christmas.

Maybe a local shop can mix a small batch for you with these codes.

" '68 - '69 455 engine red paint codes

Inmont Q51R038

RM 2U-5732R

The factory
used several suppliers through
the years. RM, PPG, Inmont,
Siebert and Glidden were all
used for engine paints"

Thanks for the codes. I will see if anyone in Portland/Vancouver area can mix some up.

FWIW Supercars Unlimited no longer carries the red but does say Fusick's red in the rattlecan is the correct color. SCU must have some good business reason for not carrying the same product.

Thanks again for the help.
