67 67 442 headlight bezel paint

So I bought new headlight bezels and of course you can't get them with them painted black. Is there a certain black that it needs to be to be correct or is it just a flat black?

On my 442 the bezels were wrinkle finished. I used Krylon wrinkle paint.

Good Question....

I believe they should be painted a semigloss black similar to the rear tailights and trunk chrome on the 442.

I agree on the semi-gloss. The originals had a clear coat sprayed over the whole bezel after they were polished and painted.

It appears to me when new the bezels had some sort of anodizing on them rather than a polish.... not really sure.
