I just decided to decode my trim tag today and found that the original color of our car was Sterling Mist with a Black roof. I was searching for photos and found 1 car but was looking for more examples. If anyone has any more photos of this combo could you post pictures or links to them? Thanks!

It was a painted black roof. I'll try to post a picture of the similar one I've found on line.

thats the same color mine should be also, not the black roof tho, paint code W, except up here in canada its called glacier grey metallic,

i owned a sterling with a black roof back in 71, i have the title still. would like to see if the vins are close to any other sterling/black cars. mine was a lansing build. these cars were painted in blocks of anywhere from 5 to 25, more or less ,of color. could also check the other colors as well.
