95 olds cutless AC question, no pusher fan, cluch dont turn
Im looking for a low pressure AC stw to by- pass it, i cant find it, i have found a stw on the high pressure line by the radiator, anyone help with this? I have followed the low pressure line from the compressor to the firewall if its there i dont see it. My gauges say there is 40 psi on low side, so i think the compressor should turn. Im new to this AC stuff. Its a 134a system.

So that's 40 psi with the system off. Sounds low to me as the low side should be just a bit below that when the system is running. But as you said, seems it should be enough for the system to turn on at least briefly until the low side drops below the cutoff pressure.
Anyway, I have no idea where the low pressure switch would be.

I did some more homework last night, it appears there is only 1 stw and it does both functions high and low pressure, it has 3 wires. I,m going to add a few oz's of freon and see if it comes on to check for a leak. I have dye in the system, just need to get compressor to turn and check everything.
