Need some help identifying hoses, buttons, etc.

Hello everyone, starting to move away from the body work on my 1969 Cutlass and look into the more technical stuff but first I need some help identifying some parts that have either been cut or removed by the previous owner

So I have one cut hose in my engine bay (labeled Swan Gas on hose) located on the right side of the car under what I think is the steering arm

I have the arrow pointing which hose in particular is cut

Moving on, I have a cut hose on the hood on the very rear edge of the hood by the hood louvers

I think it is connected to the other side of the back of the hood where something else looks to be disconnected

Done with hoses, next anyone know what the blue & white switch next to the heater controls does?

And finally, I'm missing something on my dash, does anyone know what goes there/what it does? It's next to the windshield wiper controls

The first hose is the fuel return line, it should go to the fuel pump if it has the right one on it. Not all pumps have the return line. Since your car has the return line, it should have the pump with the return fitting. The next hose is your windshield washer hoses, they go the the pump on the wiper motor. The switch and hole by the light switch were put there by a previous owner, they didnt come from the factory

K thanks, I infer that the only negative effect of the cut return line is a lower MPG right? I'll be sure to fix that

The return line has nothing to do with MPG.

It will affect MPH and SPH though....

Find out where your switch runs to/from...

I had a car with a mystery switch which turned out to be a brake lites kill switch.

There there is this Delta
