So ill be replacing a driver door window in 64 starfire as soon as my glass arrives.. the window rattles a bit in the door when its all the way down because the main window run weatherstrip is a bit worn at the bottom.. i cant find anyting online specifically for 63-64 starfire.. ive got an email into steele.. just figured i'd check here and see if anyone has replaced this and where you got it or what you used..

Steele actually called me back. My terminology is wrong and they call the part something else and dont have it.. i would be forced to sift through universal parts. i ended up re-using what i got.
To add to this.. replacing glass on a 64 coupe is a bit€h & took me just short of 4 hours without a manual and with cleanup / final adjustment / 2 coffee breaks. Anyone attempting this, 3 things you should know..
#1 you will need glass setting tape for the bottom channel and the chrome trim piece.. The stuff i bought of ebay was crap at $1 / foot. if i ever have to do it again then I would buy good quality stuff. Buy at least 6 feet if you plan on nailing it the first time.. if you thing you might make a mistake, buy at least 12 feet..
#2 You may have to squeeze the bottom metal channel and/or chrome trim in a vise to get a nice tight fit. If its going on to easy, its too loose and its going to fall off later when your installing it in the door. ask me how i know. There is a good vid on youtube about replacing 64 impala glass that is pretty much spot on..
#3 You have to remove the vent window entirely as well as the middle 10" channel to get the door glass out..you dont have to mess with the regulator at all.
