Hey guys, yes I'm still working on the starfire, just hadn't run in to problems in a while. Yesterday I changed the points and condenser with help from my dad, and then set the gap. Sure enough, the spark plug spark test showed that it was sparking good. Put in lots of gas in the tank and poured gas down the carb while cranking it. It would run at about 30 seconds at a time a few time and ten finally the fuel pump started pumping. Eventually started idling real nice and made now weird sounds to speak of, I'm impressed with that classic olds engineering. First time running since 84 and she seemed real happy Here's 2 videos on youtube, hope the links work let me know if it doesn't.
