Omega Grills

Last weekend I came across a set of Omega grills at a local swap meet. Not sure what year they fit, but they were the metal 'waterfall' style. They appeared to be in good condition, and I'm wondering if there is much of a market for these?

Mike, You need to post a pic of them. A lot of Olds grills are 'twin waterfalls'. If it was one of these? This is 1981 and I believe it's a one only year design

I doubt there's really much market now.

Hi Allan,

The grills looked like they'll fit the first generation (mid 70's) Omega. It's kinda rare to spot any Olds parts at the local swap meets, so they just stood out. I'll likely find them at the next swap meet, so I wanted to see if there's any interest or a market for these grills. The chrome was good, and they looked nearly new. Not a bad deal for $30 considering I paid much more for a set of Supreme grills for my '71 SX. -Mike

Mike, I actually like that style (the Chebby Nova take off) better than the x body front drives. Is that your car in the thumbnail? Sharp looking. I like the ones that had the Brougham packages... always was a sucker for the upscale jobs.

I like the 2 door posts in that style; the 4 doors were ..meh...

Nah, I just used that picture from the net to show which Omega those grills were from. This is me standing next to my '71 SX Convertible the day I brought it home. Currently I'm installing the correct Supreme grills that the car should have. -Mike

Mike, I think plastic chroming is pretty expensive, but this place says they do it (I know nothing about them):

Keep an eye on eBay. NOS Omega trim comes up now and then.

Since they are plastic you could go with some chrome paint. Just a thought.
