oil for F85 1961 ??

The spider gears like to eat into the housing on this rear end. About any good gear oil will be fine but I run 85W-140. It is thick to add more cushion. For the Hydromatic, these are also a weak spot on this model. My transmission guy said that he prefers me to run type F transmission fluid in mine.
