How to remove the instrument cluster and radio 62 Starfire?

You can remove the lower metal section of the dash so it kind of flops over... so its easier to remove that stuff. It sounds like something is unplugged. I had that problem with the radio. I found something unplugged... plugged her in.. and the radio works great!! I bet you have the same problem.
And the Factory Service Manuals kind of suck. They don't really tell you how to remove stuff as well as I would like (like my other car manuals for my 68 olds or 56 chevy). There is no mention of how to really remove that stuff in there.

I inherited my Dad's 1979 Olds , after it had sat unused for several years in South Florida. The entire electrical system was a mess , due to corrosion of contacts for dash lights , running lights, etc. One by one, I cleaned dozens of contacts , and afterwards everything worked for the next 15 years. The ones behind the dashboard were indeed the hardest to access.
