Vent window regulator

Was going to start on my wing window weather strip today but don't know if I should, because Im not sure how long itwill be down. My wing windows don't seal up. Are the regulators something that can be fixed or do I have to find good origionals. Is there any place that sells a quality part as I'm starting to question opgi's quality. Thanks everyone. Gil...

Usually the gears are good, just need some lubrication.

People have a habit of trying to get the windows to seal tightly by twisting on the ****. This causes the rivets that hold the bottom of the vent window regulator to stretch, to the point that they will break, allowing the bottom of the regulator to drop into the bottom of the door. You then have to fish it out of the bottom of the door, and reassemble the regulator, by drilling out the regulator rivets, and replacing them with small nuts and bolts. It isn't a difficult job, but it is more of a nuisance type of job. I use white lithium grease or high temperature white wheel bearing grease to repack them after cleaning out all the old grease with gizzoline.
