Vehicle Expense/Gas Mileage Tracking Software

Looking for software recommendations from those using a vehicle records expense tracking program.

The program must be able to track:
Gas mileage
Routine Service Performed (oil/filter/plugs/tire rotate/etc.)
Repairs
Expenses (License Plate Renewal/Ins Prem/etc.)
Parts/Accessory Purchases
The program should track expenses on multiple vehicles (up to 5)
The program should run on a Windows 7 64-bit system

In the past I used VRS 1641 ver. 4.1f (Vehicle Record System) by K-Jon Sofware. I was very happy with it. Unfortunately, that program only runs on a Windows XP 32-bit system. It is no longer supported by the author. My current computer runs on the Win 7 t64-bit OS.

Appreciate your input on finding a replacement.

Is this something that could be Excel based? Could you send me a screen shot of a page? I'm not sure I can help but am willing to take a look....

I've done this exact sort of thing in an Excel spreadsheet for the last 20 years starting with a 1995 Pontiac Transport minivan we bought new that year. It is not difficult to set something up and then reuse the same page every time you want to start tracking a different car.

I am sure that this could be accomplished in Excel by someone with the knowledge, desire and time. I lack all of the above in that regard. Also, I am certain while the final output would be usable, the presentation would not be as slick as that from a compiled program specifically desinged to track all these items.

1968post - Thanks for your offer, but I shall not burden you with taking on the task of trying to design a program to suit my desires; said task being far larger than you think, or would want.

I owned and kept track of a full freight business with over 30 power units of various kinds and just made up a spread sheet for each vehicle and kept track. I also had one with all the vehicles and it was one persons job each week to get the mileage off them all. It was set up so when you put the mileage in the main sheet it would change the color of the listing if it was due for service. Took a few hours to set up and then you just copy and paste for each vehicle. Worked wonderful. I sold the business 5 years ago and did not keep the page but they are very easy to set up.
