Trunk carpet

I am wanting to put carpet in the trunk of my 1967 Cutlass. Any recommendations on where to get a good quality carpet for this project?

Thanks

Why carpet? Why not a rubber trunk mat? This is what I have in my 66.

I'm boxing in the sides to make cleaner lines and want to carpet it all. My son plays guitar and uses this car, so I want something he can put his case and amp in that won't bang it all up. I still may get a mat to put on the carpet, but want some "cushion" in there first.

Thanks

Rod

I see. Maybe someone has done one up as such and can set you in the right direction.
Good luck, sounds like a worthy project.

Nice trunk Adam!! I have that same mat in my car. Too bad I have to cut it for the jack stud.

Rod, if your son has his guitar in the case, isn't that what it's for - to protect the guitar from getting beat up? I understand about wanting the trunk to look more 'finished', maybe you could take a look at the materials that are used in the trunks of newer cars? Check the boneyard for compatible size cars and the trunk linings they use. Might be faster and easier than buying new carpet and trying to form fit it.

Also, that rubber trunk mat has enough grip to it that I doubt an amp or guitar case is going anywhere once it's put in the trunk. My 2 ¢ FWIW

on the big b body cars they used a printed cardboard piece on each side to make the trunk look more finished,i know ames performance sells these for big pontiacs, the ones in my dads 66 catalina attached on the back edge of the wheelhouse there is a hole where the 2 halves come together and then there is a hole back by the tail lights and they kinda wedged in there.could you take something like this and modify them to fit
