Sourcing hydraulics for convertible top

If you've seen my other thread, you know I'm in the market for a full hydraulic system for the convertible top of a 1962 dynamic 88.

Problem is, I know nothing about reliable suppliers on this one. I see jegs.com at $694 (Plus $50 off if I buy right now!), an ebay motors seller with tons of sales and good feedback at $609, fusickauto.com at $776.

I mean, it's a hydraulic pump, two rams, and some hose. I don't think we're talking rocket science here, and obviously no one is selling original OEM parts at this point, so I'm leaning towards ebay guy... but thought I'd get opinions from this group before I save $50 and cost myself a full replacement in 2 years.

No affiliation with either, but recommend you check out both of these specialty vendors. Each has been out there a long time with particular focus on Jurassic hydraulics…

https://store.convertibleparts.com

https://www.hydroe.com

I’ve bought parts from each over the years and found both competent.

Looks like convertibleparts is out of stock, but the eBay store I found is actually hydroe selling through another venue... So it's good to know they've got a decent history. Thanks again.

You can probably get all of the hyd parts rebuilt at a hyd repair shop.

My pump motor was beyond salvaging and the ram cylinders were stuck too; so I bought the pump, cylinders & lines as a kit from Hydro-electric's eBay store. I couldn't be happier, everything works like it should. I highly recommend you assemble everything outside the car and bench bleed the air out of the lines. It was a little messy and much easier to clean up on the bench than in the trunk of the car.
