Radiator Hoses
Radiator Hoses
A friend pointed out to me at a car show that the upper & lower radiator hoses did not actually have "GM" marked on them as my hoses do that I purchased from reputable Olds parts supplier. P/N and maybe a code yes, but not the "GM" letters. In the '68 Service Manual there is a photo of a 455 engine layout, but I can't tell on the upper hose marking if the GM is there or not.
Not a big deal, I'm not to that level of detail on my restored 442, just curious about this. I have seen from several parts suppliers now that the "GM" marking is included, so I tend to believe the GM marking was there originally on hoses in 1968. Can anyone tell me fact or fiction?
Thanks.

The service replacement ones are diff that the factory ones. Factory hoses are called out on your build sheet. That guy in MiamI does the factory ones. Not sure if he does all GM lines. He does and awesome job.
