heating and cooling?

Not sure where to put this? Anyway

Does anyone have a recommendation for a new heater core source? Rock auto SPECTRA? and a Blower motor? also rock auto? I am not looking for originality as opposed to trouble free service, I see the spectra is aluminum? any issues? any advice would be welcomed.

on the ac cars, the aluminum heater cores don't fit as well as the original Harrison heater cores. Some guys prefer to have a radiator shop put a new core onto their original tanks. This way the fit is perfect. Blower motors can be had anywhere along with the aluminum heater cores. If the price difference was very minimal, Id just pick them up from Advance, Auto Zone, Oreillys etc. If there is a warrantee issue, much easier to just take back to the store than dealing with rock auto

I think Supercars Unlimited still carry the brass/copper heater cores. Pricey but probably less expensive than recoring your old one.

Here in ft worth its $95 I believe from Kirby's Radiator Shop. Here is one I had done a few months back. They drop right in with no tweaking of the tubes necessary. This is something that I have run into with the aftermarket replacements both aluminum and copper. For some reason Ive always had to tweak the tubes. Other than that, I haven't had any bad experience with the aluminum ones.
