I have over 1/3 of my underdash out in order to replace the speaker. How much more effort and time would be required to replace the firewll pad? Everytime I touched it more of the existing pad fell apart. Can the pad be replaced without removing the dash? Car has A/C if that makes a difference.

Hmmmm... The only time I've removed one has been when I've had both the dash and the A/C or heat unit out.
My feeling is that the A/C unit has to be out, but Im curious what other people have been able to do.

Need to remove AC, pedal support, emergency brake support, fuse block. Might as well remove the instrument panel/pad for access.

The pad on the passenger side attaches with the heater box studs on mine.

I think I'll live with vacumming up the pieces.
