exhaust options opinions etc

Looking at going headers so I can bolt on cats and run it out the side my question what is the cheapest possible headers j can get for the olds 350 as far as I can see I have plenty of clearance space but I'd still like to keep it as close fitting just in case any suggestions ideas etc

Posted on my thread turn ring the olds but figured I'd put it out there to get more response and opinions

Bill check and see if there is a way you can get away from running pollution controls in your state before jumping into the exhaust. It might be exempt on age or following the year of the engine.

Well to me I'm getting conflicting results it says 35years or older no need but it says if it had it from factory it needs it so I'm confused I'm gonna call them up but I'm still planning on headers nothing fancy or new maybe see if someone on here has a used set I could buy off them

Talk to your local hotrodders, an inspection station, local mechanics, maybe a local muffler shop before jumping in there. You might be able to get away with headers, bolt on glass packs, and some short exhaust exiting out like copper suggested in your other thread for the time being.
