Dim brake/signal lights

On the 69 Cutlass it has been noted that the brake lights are quite dim. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, seems like lenses are discolored or foggy?
Any suggestions to clean them, or a source of new aftermarket lenses?
There is no issue with the blub brightness itself.

I find that Wenol metal polish in the red tube cleans up plastic to make like new. Use on the inside and outside and they will look like new. Also check the contacts and grounds on your light sockets.

Thanks for the reply

OK, I'll see if I find that stuff around here. I am fairly confident with the brightness of the bulbs in regard to the grounds.
thanks again

If you have 12V to the bulbs with engine off, then the electrical part should be okay. When running, 13.5V is typical.

Many times the white or silver reflectors behind the colored lenses get dirty or rusty. I had to repaint some before...
Sometimes the lenses are dirty on the inside, too.

Another great suggestion!

This place is awesome. I will check the relectiveness (is that a word?) inside the lamp housing.
Thanks
