Nice post! I love those old Car & Track shows. That Olds sounded like it had a bit more camshaft than most of them.

That is a cool video. I always enjoy the classics.

I like Bud's take on the 71 W-30 road test. 1 of 110 convertibles I think? Rarer than the 68 H/O. And here it is brand new! And they drive it like they stole it.

Thanks for the car ****! Made me late for lunch...

I count myself lucky to have been a car-crazy kid when these cars were terrorizing the streets. Yah, new stuff outperforms these exponentially, but these don't look like a half-used bar of soap.

I got into a few other links in that cars and zebras series. I was a bit surprised that Roadrunners and Torinos were such heavyweights. I'd have thought unibodies would have been lighter than 3900/4000lb range.

These are all great videos. Despite the appearance of that '72 W30 running in Pure Stock drags, its times belies its "stockness". I have a hard time believing that a 9:1 455 runs deep 12s through stock manifolds. And the "brake tests" should be more appropriately called "tire traction tests", LOL.
