A/C hose detail 70 442

I am currently detailing the engine compartment on my 1970 442. It has factory A/C. n the suction hose that connects to the compressor and Firewall box, there was a black foam sleeve that insulated the hose. It was deteriated so bad that I removed it. he hose is very nice. I would like to put something back on it to look close to original. The local HVAC shop game me 3 ft. of K flex insulation. Problem is my hose outside diameter is 1 1/8" and I got 2 1/8" from them. It is also nicked up. Oh well, it was free. Is there anything I could use? Any ideas. Thanks, Rick

After reviewing old posts on this site, I decided to buy a length of insulation from Grainger. It should work nicely. Thanks!
