AM radio preset Q?

What is the proper procedure to set the "preset" buttons on an AM radio to station of my choose?
I did a search before posting questions and could not find anything.
TY.

manually tune to desired station, pull out the button you want to designate the station and push in all the way. presto, it's set

Turn the dail to get to the station you wish to set, pull one of the push buttons out, push it back in. Your station will be preset on which ever push **** you pull out/push in.

Thank you all, I knew it had something to do with pushing it in, but I did not know about the "pull out".
I got all three English stations programed. TY.
