My washer pump doesn't pump any fluid.
the wipers work perfect though.
is there some troubleshooting i can do to determine what's wrong with it?
Should i hear something different?
The wipers work but when i push wash, nothing seems to change.
is there a way to prime the pump at all?

There could be a few reasons, bad electrical connection in the circut, cracked pump housing causing an air leak, worn O rings in the pump, etc. Usually when the switch is pushed a relay on the motor activates an arm that engages a cam which makes the pump do it's thing. I think you can even get reproduction pump now if you are the kind of person who would rather just "swap it out" but that doesn't eliminate a faulty circuit from the switch to the pump. If you would rather try to repair it yourself cheaply you can try replacing the O rings, you can buy a repair kit with them in it, I think I got mine from Amazon but they may be available from a local parts store too. Since you memtioned no change in sound this may not help as usually you can hear the sound of the cam cycling during the pump action so it could be something a simple as a bad wire, bad connection on the harness where it plugs into the wiper/washer.

 

Yep, you should hear a cyclical mechanical noise from the pump activating. If you don’t hear that, it’s likely the pump is not engaging. Check the wiring to ensure good connections, and while you’re at it verify voltage at the pump when the washer switch is engaged.

If it’s just old worn rubber parts, the rebuild kit is available from most auto parts stores.

On my 69 my squirter will lose the prime after not being used for many months.
I just take the reservoir pick up tube out of the reservoir and force a mouthful of fresh water into it while someone pushes the squirt button and they start squirting ...
They will hold that prime for at least a month and forever if you use them once a month or so +-
It may not be fixed right but it works

I'll take the black cover off and see if i can see anything moving for the pump

Electrical works since wipers work right? I see there are 2 plugs at the top and 3 plugs at the bottom.
What do each of those do? I did check and clean them all, they appear to be ok.

The pump is a mechanical piston pump that operates using cam driven by the wiper motor. The clicking you hear when you press the washer button is the solenoid that engages the pump pushrod pawl with the cam. If it's not clicking, the problem is electrical. If it is clicking but not pumping it usually means the pump needs to be rebuilt because the seals are worn.
