69 442 Windshield Installation

I pulled the original windshield in my 69 and I am ready to have a local auto glass company do the installation of a new windshield for me.

Do I need to install new rubber seals back on the pillars and the top or can I just have the glass guy reinstall with urethane and skip all of the rubber seals on the pillars and the top? The rubber seals seem to be a cause of rust, etc. so i would like to skip them.

Do those have seals?
Got pics?
I thought the windshields were installed with a butyl rubber type caulking originally?
They sell the spacers, supports, glazing tape and caulking to install them but I've never seen any type of seal available.
The parts catalog shows nothing either?

The seals I am referring to were right under the chrome trim around the windshield and along the pillars. It was almost like a neoprene type seal although I am sure it was rubber. I have not seen anything in any of the available catalogs that seems similar.
